Diya Foundation is a ray of hope that has lit up the lives of many unfortunate children. In its quest to bring a smile on every child's face, the Foundation has undertaken activities like basic education through schools in slums and closer vicinities. Besides education, students are imparted moral values through programmes involving arts, music, story telling sessions, dramatics and other creative activities. It also distributes clothes, books etc. to those in need. Its runs schools for slum children where slum children are provided basic education, free mid-day meals, regular medical check-ups and support and imparting of moral values in order to build a solid foundation to help them grow up into responsible citizens. The aim is to have a string of such schools all over India in order to provide maximum opportunity for underprivileged children to have proper education and a healthy and happy childhood. |
