Setting up a string of schools
It is intended to set up few small schools near the slums for the underprivileged children to provide free education, mid day meals, uniforms and regular health care.
Old age home
The old is our Legacy. The wrinkle, the gnarled hands and the white hair tell us about the times gone by. As senior citizen, they too have every right to live in peace and dignity.Diya Foundation is intented to open an old age home also.
Adult Computer Education Project :
‘Diya Vidya Mandir' our school for underprivileged children is situated in Nihal Vihar, a semi slum area inhabited mostly by low-income groups like daily labours, petty vendors, domestic helps etc. After school hours, computer education would be imparted to the adults of the nearby areas.
HEALTHCARE
Meditation Centre
In order to spread awareness about holistic and cost effective approach to prevent and cure the stress by meditation life style, Diya Foundation has planned to set up a Meditation Centre with the help of MCKS for Pranic healing. Diya foundation plans to hold the classes for the children and their parents to reduce their stress and Anxiety level.
Charitable Health Centre
Diya Foundation plans to start a Health center for Aids awareness activities, Pathology Lab and women health care in Nihal Vihar, Nangloi, New Delhi for the people from poor sections of the area. Apart from free medical consultancy and health check ups, the clinic will also be used for promoting deaddiction, spreading awareness about family planning and personal hygiene.
VOCATIONAL TRAINING
Diya Foundation plans to start a centre for providing vocational training to girls and women to make them self-reliant. It is proposed to impart training in tailoring, beauty culture, non-woven bags, home science, decorative packing and arts and crafts to imbibe marketable skills. Special classes are planned to impart computer training at Diya Vidya Mandir.
LIBRARY FOR CHILDREN/ADULTS
A rich library and a reading room is projected to be maintained for the general public so that they can have the benefit of reading rare and expensive books and increase their knowledge. We will have books covering various subjects. Library would have facility for students doing Graduation and post graduation also, who are poor and cannot afford the costly books and study material required. Books for Competitive Exams aspirants will also be made available; it is our endeavor that a poor child should not remain uneducated for want of study material. |
