Our School

On 20th April, 2003, Diya Foundation commenced operations by setting up ‘Chetan Vidya Mandir' a school for the slum children at Nihal Vihar, New Delhi. The school was started in a one room rented accommodation with 20 students. In March 2004, land was purchased for new school building of Chetan Vidya Mandir. At the childscapes center, the children aged between 5-16 years, are engaged in Informal education combined with lifestyle skills, food and health care.

These students are being provided education, mid day meals, uniforms, bags, and stationery and regular health check-ups. They are also provided with free ration, so that they can have food at least twice in a day.

Our Young Picasso’s

Works of art worldwide can tell stories or simply express an aesthetic truth or feeling.

The aim of every artist is to arrest motion, which is life, by artificial means and hold it fixed so that a hundred years later, when a stranger looks at it, it moves again since it is life. An artist is enough to draw freely upon his imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.

In Diya Foundation we strongly believe that every child should be provided with the platform of exploring their thoughts through the means of Arts.
We believe there is one thing one has to have: either a soul that is cheerful by nature or a soul made cheerful by work, love, art, and knowledge.

We believe Great art picks up where nature ends.

Students of Diya Foundation have created some wonder master pieces throughout the year.
