JANUARY 2008
- LOHRI CELEBRATION
Lohri was celebrated by the students of Diya Vidya Mandir. Students sang songs and danced around
traditional bonfire to celebrate it.
On 20th January, a free eye check-up camp was held in Diya Vidya Mandir. After check-ups free spectacles
were distributed to the people of Nihal Vihar.
Republic Day was celebrated on 26th January by the students of Diya Vidya Mandir. A patriotic dance drama
was performed by the students.
MARCH 2008
Holi was celebrated by the students of ‘Diya Vidya Mandir”. Colours were showered and the whole
community seems to merge into one big fraternity under the guise of colours, without any distinction of
caste, creed, color or sex.
AUGUST 2008
- INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION
Independence Day was celebrated at Diya Vidya Mandir. Salute to the National Flag was given by the
students followed by the cultural programme.
- JANMASHTAMI CELEBRATION
Janamashtmi was celebrated at Diya Vidya Mandir. A dance drama depicting the story of Shri Krishna and
Radha was performed by the students.
SEPTEMBER 2008
- HEALTH CHECK-UP CAMP
A free eye-check up camp was held in Nihal Vihar. Free spectacles and medicines were distributed.
October 2008
- DIWALI CELEBRATION
Diwali was celebrated at Diya Vidya Mandir, with lots of enthusiasm. The school was decorated with lights
and flowers and the fireworks display was magical and enjoyed by the students.
NOVEMBER 2008
- MEDICAL CHECK-UP CAMP
A free medical check-up camp was held on 16th November at Diya Vidya Mandir. Free medicines were
distributed.
DECEMBER 2008
- AIDS AWARENESS CAMP
An Aids Awareness camp was organized in Nihal Vihar.
- VISIT TO OLD AGE HOME
Bed sheets and pillows were distributed to the inmates of old age home at Geeta Mandir.
